From theory to practice

atip GmbH was founded 1999 by Prof. Dr. Herbert Reininger (Applied Physics), Dr. Klaus Kasper (Applied Physics) and Dr. Fred Englert (Phonetics).

The main ambition was to transfer the results of long year interdisciplinary scientific research in the field of language processing, in  the workgroup at the Goethe University Frankfurt am Main, into marketable and innovative products and services.

Nowadays the team combines a lot of different competences. The technical knowledge of computer scientists, media information technologists, physicists and the knowledge of Art sciences of phoneticians, linguists and musicologists complement one another. Due to the close proximity of the University Frankfurt and the Hochschule Darmstadt, atip GmbH is often supported and inspired by Graduate and PhD students of various scientific fields.
